ROUSH Performance Makes the 2021 Ford Ranger as Hardcore as Can Be

American performance tuning company ROUSH is known for its wildly powerful Ford Mustangs, but now it has turned its hand to something a bit more utilitarian — the 2021 ROUSH Ford Ranger.

The Ranger is Ford‘s midsize pickup truck that’s good for all kinds of everyday duties, hauling loads, and being a trusty machine for workers. Now, however, the machine has been bolstered for tougher and more demanding off-roading conditions, all while giving it a number of upgrades that make it feel more commanding at the same time.

For example, a dual-tip cat-back exhaust system has been added to not only enhance the sound it produces but also give the Ranger a boost in power and torque from its 2.3-liter Ford Ecoboost engine. Elsewhere, we find an updated front end with integrated LED lights to make the car seem that bit more luxurious, as does the custom interior that now features embroidered headrests, a ROUSH gauge cluster and serialized badges.

However, bringing the focus back to its off-roading tune is a new ROUSH/FOX coilover suspension system that features performance springs that are programmed with two inches of lift, and a new set of 18-inch rims wrapped in 32-inch tires continue to add presence to the car.

Rounding out its upgraded look is a new set of fender flares finished in “Magnetic Grey” that sit over the wheels, giving it an overall wider stance. An optional graphics pack, red tow hook and heat-extracting fender vent badges can also be added at an extra cost, as can the ROUSH Chase Rack with dual Rigid light bars, an off-road utility kit, and a locking vault for the center console.

The 2021 ROUSH Ford Ranger starts at $12,750 USD over the factory MSRP of $24,820 USD. Take a closer look at the truck above.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, Michael Jordan’s 1996 Mercedes-Benz S600 Lorinser is back up for sale.
